About Faith

Our concept of Faith embraces the larger concept of how we relate to God and what we believe worship truly means. Faith may take us to worship on Sundays but we seek to live out and communicate our love for Him through our lives as a whole. We believe that true worship involves offering everything – our minds, our hearts, our bodies, our marriages, our families our jobs – to God our creator. We hope to encourage each other on our journey, regardless of where we are as individuals, toward redemption and a relationship with our great and holy God. Through the lens of Faith we respond to God’s love with artistic and creative beauty, explore the character of God through Biblical investigation, grow in understanding of God’s mission and desire for our lives, and seek relevant Biblical teaching. As we explore Faith, we grow in love for God and for others.

In today’s church culture, worship has too often become synonymous with singing. But worship is much more. Worship is ascribing worth to God as the one who deserves reverence, homage, honor, praise and adoration. Although singing songs on Sunday may present an opportunity to worship, we are to adore the Lord all week. This includes what we think about, what we do and say, and how we spend our time. We believe that there is beauty in the diversity of ways that people worship God. We do not tell people how to worship but encourage members of our community to respond creatively and genuinely to God’s love. God as Creator created us in His image and empowered us as co-creators. Each of us is endowed with the abilities to creatively express the joys, pains, and awe of this life and the constant, [often] mysterious love of God. We seek to honor God with our creative expressions, our words, our actions, our hearts, our minds, our bodies, our lives, our marriages, our jobs – everything.
