Boston Partnership
What is the Boston Partnership?
The Boston Partnership was the name of REUNION Christian Church before it had a name. The partnership is made up of churches and individuals who support REUNION as a new church with finances and prayer. The Partnership also includes two support organizations: Restoration House Ministries of New Hampshire and the NewThing Network of Community Christian Church in Naperville, IL.
Why start a church in Boston?
There are almost 600,000 people living in Boston and another 300,000 students in the metro area. Boston is a major technological, financial, and educational hub and has one of the finest ports in the world. No city in the U.S. is richer in historical associations, and no city has retained more of its original buildings as memorials to America's past.
The physical landscape of Boston is scattered with church buildings, but 95% or more of the population will not attend a church service this coming weekend. Our dream is to be a church in Boston where people will reconnect with God and others, where they can find their way back to God.
We desire to be a church in Boston where people find life, hope, and peace in Jesus Christ.
"Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere."
- Jesus [Mark 16:15]
Financial needs
Boston is one of the most expensive markets in the country. In Boston the cost of living is 43% higher than the national average and 101% higher for homeowners. To start a church here, it costs much more than the average church plant. Leasing a worship location can be upwards of $4000 a month in the city. Therefore, we will need to raise more funds than the average church plant.
Hundreds of people and dozens of churches from around the country have joined the Partnership with financial support. However, there is still significant need to ensure that the church can launch with the financial foundation needed to effectively reach the people of Boston.
