Your First Sunday: Some Helpful Tips

What to Expect

We know visiting a church can feel like a big step—and you don’t need to have it all figured out. At REUNION, you’re welcome just as you are. Here’s what you can expect on a typical Sunday with us:

Come early for coffee. No awkward entrances. Come a few minutes early, grab a coffee, and settle in.
Music. We sing a few songs. Join in or just listen—whatever feels right for you.
Say hi (or don't). We take a few minutes to connect. You can chat or just take a breather. No pressure.
Kids. If you have children, we have programming for them.
Short message. Our teaching is rooted in Scripture, honest, and relevant. Usually around 30 minutes.
Communion. Each week, we remember Jesus through a quiet moment of communion. Join in if you’d like—totally optional..
A final blessing. We close with a short prayer to send you into the week with hope.

Getting Here

The Somerville Theatre sits right on the Red Line at the Davis Square stop—our venue is just steps away. The Crystal Ballroom has its own entrance, located between Mr. Crêpe and the main theater doors.

Look for the REUNION sign out front. Once inside, head up one level to the Crystal Ballroom—stairs and an elevator are both available.

Parking

On Sundays, metered and residential permit parking are free throughout Somerville. We’ve marked some good spots on the map, and you’re also welcome to use any of the nearby public lots at no cost.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

REUNION doesn't have pews or a steeples, just people to journey alongside. Because of that, our Sunday gatherings are designed to give people the chance to connect with God and each other. When we come together, we spend time chatting, praying, singing, and contemplating the big questions of life and faith.

When we gather, there isn't a dress code; just come in what feels good to you! When we sing, its usually a contemporary style of music, but we like to mix it up with some classic hymns from time to time. When our pastors speak, the talks tend to be brief and focus on how the good news of Jesus meets us wherever we are at in life. When we pray, we do so for each other, believing that God will answer.

During our gatherings, we want kids to have a fun place where they are safe and can learn to grow in the ways of Jesus. Our REUNION Kids classes do just that! Due to the ongoing pandemic, we have reduced our capacity to ensure the safety of our kids. Currently, we only offer a preschool age class during our gatherings.

In our efforts to keep kids safe, we've embraced the following guidelines: (1) enhanced cleaning protocols based on the most up to date CDC recommendations, (2) check-in symptom screening, (3) mask requirements for all volunteers and children above two years-old, and (4) vaccination requirements and increased PPE for all volunteers.

Reunion KIds

Families Welcome

At REUNION, we want to come alongside parents by teaching kids about who God is and what He has done.

REUNION Kids is more than childcare during the gathering. Every week we put together gospel-centered, spirit-filled and fun teachings/activities for your kids. It is our hope and prayer that our children would someday embrace the Gospel message for themselves and desire to be the light that they have been created to be.
