About this Group
Men are stuck in a friendship recession. We are less likely to rely on their friends for emotional support or to share their personal feelings with others. In a 2021 survey of more than 2,000 adults in the United States, less than half of the men said they were truly satisfied with how many friends they had, while 15 percent said they had no close friends at all — a fivefold increase since 1990. Whether we intend for them to or not, our friendships will inform who we are becoming. We become like those we spend time with. And if we’re wanting to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did, we must be intentional to have other people who want that too, and who will help you get there as you help them.
