Community is essential to following Jesus. These groups provide an ongoing place for people to find community, share life, and grow in faith. It is always the right time to jump into one of these groups.

Want to go deeper in your faith? These groups are often short-term and offered at special times. Each group is designed to help people have a relationship with God. We will explore what it looks like to listen to God through Scripture and prayer.

Summer is winding down, so we’re closing it out together at Castle Island on Sunday, August 31.

‍We will NOT be meeting at our normal gathering at the Crystal Ballroom in Somerville!!

Whether you have been connected to REUNION for years or just looking for community, we hope you will join us!

We will have lawn games and some fun activities for kids! We're also bringing some freeze pops! If you haven’t been to Castle Island before, it is a must do in the summer. Bring a lunch or buy one at Sullivan’s, which is located right on Castle Island.

When are we meeting?

We are planning to meet at 10:30 AM, but you can come at any time! We should be around till about 2 PM.

Where are we meeting?

We will scope out a place on the south side of the island, closer to the playground. Look for our REUNION flag!

How do I get there?

You can park at Castle Island, there is a big parking lot (as noted on the map above). However, it is obviously first come, first serve. We recommend coming at 10:30 (or earlier).

It's possible to take public transportation, but it is a little tricky (and probably challenging if you are bringing stuff). If you don’t have a car and need a ride, just let us know!‍

What is there to do?

There are plenty of things to do at Castle Island:

At the top of castle island is the historic Fort Independence, which overlooks the Boston Harbor Islands, offering gorgeous views and usually a cool breeze. There is plenty of room to lay out a blanket and relax.

Swim or hang out at the beach at Castle Island Beach
Grab a bite at Sullivan's which offers fried clams, lobster rolls, burgers, and ice cream. You can even order online!
Castle Island's location is almost directly across from Boston Logan Airport means you can watch planes swoop down over the water and land on the runway
Visit the playground if you have kiddos
Castle Island's grassy slopes provide the perfect setting for tossing a frisbee or playing other yard games

We'll be bringing some yard games and some fun activities for kids too!
